So, yesterday, I spent the day with my Uncle Joe and Aunt Julie along with my cousins. It was a totally chill day. We hung out at their house, watching the OSU game, ate dinner, and then went to church. My cousin Kelsey and I totally hung out the whole day, kind of watching the game, but not. We spent like half of the day watching the Food Network. We watched The Food Network Challenge. These people had to make skylines entirely out of cake. It was totally wild

Then, Kelsey and I went grocery shopping with my Aunt Julie, and the store we went to was giving out free samples of food. Iapos;ve never been to a grocery store where they give out so many samples. I swear you could go there and eat a whole meal in just smaples alone. Anyways, I got totry soy milk. It was surprisingly good. It had a hint of vanilla in it. I like totally love it now. I wanna go buy me some of that soy milk. So healthy for you, and boy does it taste good.

Then, when my Uncle Joe was taking me home, I was checking my voicemail, and I learned that I won a $2500 scholarship that I had applied for back in August. Itapos;s from the American Council of the Blind (ACB). I was totally stoked about this. I wasnapos;t expecting to win. So, that was a perfect way to end my day. All for now.

Got the Praxis report in the mail yesterday. There was also a big heavy envelope from Praxis as well. When I opened it, it was a letter of congratulations and a certificate of excellence---my score on the PLT was in the top 15 of all test takers who have taken the test in previous years. That was totally unexpected. That was the test that I was most concerned about going in, because I didnapos;t know how they were going to score the written parts. I was totally amazed all afternoon and evening, and Iapos;m still a little buzzed about it today.
Iapos;m mailing copies to my parents, so they can be excited, too.

He was driven back into a "cave" by the other wolves every time he tried to come out. But as you can see, he had a nowhere near submissive attitude. Which was probably (part of) the problem.

Phone rings at 6:30 this morning, and I answer it, ready to tell off whoever it is for calling so damn early. Glancing at the caller ID, I see its my mom, which kills off the anger and makes me worried because something had to have happened to someone in my family for her to be calling me so early in the morning.

My dad is in the hospital. He was rushed to General late last night because he lost all feeling in one of his legs. He called her about 3am to tell her they were transferring him over to Wilson for emergency surgery due to a blood clot in his foot. As of 11am, he was out of surgery and in recovery and alright for the most part.

Thing is, my Aunt Judy is hovering over him at the hospital. Sheapos;s the whore who broke up my parents marriage....my momapos;s sister, who slept with my father. Iapos;ve not seen her in probably 6 or 7 years, I wonapos;t go to family gatherings if sheapos;s there (not that she goes to many, as she feels like everyone hates her....donapos;t know about anyone else, but I do). So my brother and my mom are worried about me going to see my dad while sheapos;s there because they are afraid a fight will break out between the 2 of us. I wonapos;t say a damn word to her....a hospital is not the place to have the fight I know is coming between the 2 of us. But knowing her, sheapos;ll make all sorts of drama and cause problems.

Today has been a crazy day. Got up and went to my local bank to cancel a check. Then went all the way across town to the gas company to pay my bill. Afterward, I still had time to kill so I went by the Natural Pantry store and bought some honey for my throat and some acidipholus. Iapos;ve been doing some Acid Reflux Disease research and a lot of people talk up taking acidipholus to help restore intestinal flora. I figure it canapos;t hurt. Right? :) Then bought a Cobb Salad and an apple for lunch, before coming into the Job of Doom.
Been a pretty productive day. Got all my filing done, watched Fringe on Fox and now Iapos;m just waiting for my relief to show up so I can blow this joint. :)
